1.Anjuna beach:-Anjuna is situated north of two other famous beaches of Baga and Calangute. The nearest town to Anjuna is Mapusa. There are daily buses plying from Mapusa to Anjuna. Thivim is the closest railway station to Anjuna Beach and situated in Mapusa. The capital city of Panaji is around 18 km from this beach and the airport is 47 km away. March-October the beach here is pleasant while December-January, the tranquility is often lost due to over crowding. Anjuna also hosts the famous flea market wherein you can purchase many things, ranging from fruits to jewelry, clothes and electronic devices.There are several things to do on the shore of Anjuna such as:

Rave parties - Every full moon night in the various hangout places on the beach of Anjuna

Swimming - Do not try swimming in the sea on the Anjuna beach. It has forceful undercurrents which can be fatal. However if you have the adventurous blood, you may talk to the lifeguards there. In fact you can do some underwater diving in Anjuna. Diving equipments are available for hire. You might sight turtles, barracudas, shark fishes, lion-fishes and others. Although, do be careful.

Wednesday Flea Market - Has become synonymous to Anjuna beach. You can shop and bargain for items ranging from clothes to hats to jewelry to bikes to souvenirs.

2.Vagator Beach:-The Vagator beach located near Mapusa Road, North Goa and 22 km far from the state capital Panaji is less crowded and isolated compared to other Goa beaches. It boasts of pure white sand, doted with black lava rocks and swaying coconut and palm trees and lies within the backdrop of the 500-year-old Portuguese Fort and takes the visitors down the memory lane depicting the Old Portuguese era. Vagator's broad white sandy beach - Big Vagator Beach also known as "Little Vagator" is undeniably beautiful and offers picturesque vista with the red ramparts of Chapora Fort.Like Anjuna, Vagator is a relaxed, comparatively undeveloped resort that appeals, in the main, to budget travellers with time on their hands. Accommodation is also limited.The nearest airport is at Dabolim, which is 29 km away from Panaji. Panaji is just 22 km away from Vagator beach in Goa. There are frequent buses to Panaji and Mapusa from Vagator.

3.Dona Paula:-Dona Paula is situated around 6 kilometers from Miramar Beach. The place is named after the viceroys heathbrokern daughter Dona Paula who hurled herself from the nearby cliff. Although, there are many variations to this story. One legend is that she was the lady in waiting of the Portuguese Governor general's wife and in course of the time the Governor fell victim of her beauty and charms. When the Governors wife learnt of this adulterous relation she went wild with rage. She had Dona paula stand on the rocky cliff and pushed her into the sea. Her tombstone epigraph in the transept of the heritage cabo chapel in cabo raj niwas authenticates her, its inscribed Dona Paula died on December 21, 1682 and was buried in the Cabo Chapel. Dona Paula was the daughter of Amaral de Menezes. On January 31, 1656 she married Dom Antonio Souto Maior and came to be knows as Dona Paula Menezes Souto Maior. She performed many acts of charity. The village of oddavel came to be known Dona Paula after her death in 1682. The twin sculptures of a man and a woman on the rocks at Dona Paula are not of dona paula. These sculptures are the creation of an artist. A german baroness named Yrsa Von Leistner in memory of Mr. and Ms. Robert Knox, a US senator whose will was posthumously honoured by his brother. They were installed as late as 1969. Its is mostly mistaken as that of Dona Paula and her lover. Its famous as a "lovers spot". One can see young couples, teenagers and a large number of tourists frequeting this place.
It has a large number of resorts and complexes although it was basically a fishing village. Water sports are carried out here. They also organise boating trips etc. It is a very famous place and often shooting for movies are carried out here. On the westernmost point of the peninsula lies an old fortress Cabo Raj Niwas. The fort is equipped with several cannons. It houses a chapel in the fortress. The place has a large garden and a little beach. there is a grotto there too. On the southern side of the access road is the "British Cemetery". Today Cabo Raj Niwas is the residence of the Governor of Goa. To the other side, below the Cabo Raj Niwas is the Aviao-Dona Paula Beach, its also a very beautiful beach.

4.Fort Augada:-Fort Aguada and its lighthouse is a well-preserved seventeenth-century Portuguesefort standing in Goa, India, on Sinquerim Beach, overlooking the Arabian Sea.The fort was constructed in 1612 to guard against the Dutch and the Marathas. It was a reference point for the vessels coming from Europe at that time. This old Portuguese fort stands on the beach south of Candolim, at the shore of the Mandovi river.
A freshwater spring within the fort provided water supply to the ships that used to stop by. This is how the fort got its name: Aguada, meaning Water.
